"And when We made the House a place of assembly for men and a sanctuary, (saying): Take as your place of worship, the place where Ibrahim stood (to pray). And We imposed a duty upon Ibrahim and Isma'eel, (saying): Purify My House for those who go around and those who meditate therein and those who bow down and prostrate themselves (in worship)" (The Cow 2:125)

In the Islamic month Zul-Hijjah Muslims of the entire world perform their Hajj in the Kabbah (The House of Allah). Hajj is one of a Muslim's duties, as described in the Five Pillars of Islam.
