This means that whitening rate is expected to be slower than that of in-office methods. Also, without a dentist to supervise the procedure, evenness is not a hundred percent guaranteed.

In-office teeth whitening procedures require bleaching gels and the use of laser light. Before one chooses a particular whitening method, one should also consider how available his/her dentist should be for consultation or in case some complications arise from the procedure. This particular piece of information may help decide whether the patient should insist on getting in-office treatments or proceed with at-home treatments instead.
